Our Learning About the Bible ministry is an after school program for children age 4 through grade 5. Our goal of LABs is twofold. First and most importantly, we are trying to foster the feeling that being a part of God's family is important. The second purpose is to teach Bible stories.
Each LABs session contains Christian stories, songs, games, activities, worksheets, and light refreshments. The curriculum is based on Biblical characters and seasonal units. It is offered in a nondenominational setting, so that children from any church may participate.
COMING SOON! - "Fantastic Friends and Family Fun" begins August 21, 22 & 23! Throughout the school year the members will experience a joyful friends and family celebration. As they learn from the examples of Bible families and friends, they will discover practical ways to get along with their own families and friends. Snoopy and his Peanuts friends will also introduce the children to healthy habits for resolving conflicts and practicing effective communication.
Most importantly, everyone will learn about their place in God's family and His love for them as His own children. The true meanings of the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays will also be experienced.
Third, fourth and fifth graders will meet on Mondays beginning August 21.
First and second grade children will meet on Tuesdays beginning August 22.
Children who are age 4 through kindergarten will meet on Wednesdays beginning August 23.
Each session of LABs will meet at 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and contain stories, songs, games, art activities and refreshments. Children from the community are welcome! Transportation is available, if needed. To register or for more information, please call Carol at (402) 223-3842 or (402) 228-3219.
