Operation Christmas Child - On Sunday, Oct. 10th, the Youth Group students are asked to please bring a sack lunch. After worship service, we will eat our lunch and then go shopping for items to go into our Operation Christmas Child boxes! Then, on Saturday, Oct. 16th at 10:00 a.m. we will have our own packing party! We are possibly looking into ordering pizza for lunch!
HELP NEEDED! - On Tuesday evening, Oct. 26th, the Disciples Men are scheduled to cook for and serve Warren's Community Dinner Table. So far there are only 3 men who have indicated they will help cook for 70 people, assemble meals, and help serve at the Episcopal Church.
Warren's Community Dinner Table is a place where Christians give thanks to God's goodness by demonstrating Christ's love in hosting a weekly dinner and inviting all of God's people to the table. Warren's Community Dinner Table is more than a "soup kitchen". It is the belief that each person who comes to Warren's Community Dinner Table is there because they need to be fed and nourished by food and (or) fellowship Warren's Community Dinner Table is a place where all people are treated equally. It is a place where everyone is welcomed. It began in 2001 in response to a dying veteran's (Warren) wish and has turned into a calling of the Holy Spirit to feed God's sheep. Anyone who would like to help please contact Pastor Mike or Alfred Smith to let them know you will help on Oct. 26.
